Artist's BiographyPatton Hunnicutt is a 2000 graduate of Furman University, earning his Bachelors Degree in Music Education. While at Furman, Mr. Hunnicutt studied Bass Clarinet with Dr. Robert Chesebro and performed in the University Wind Ensemble, Chamber Winds, Symphony Orchestra, and Symphonic Band. In 1998 he was named a Hambrick Scholar by the University music department. He also served as Principal Bass Clarinetist in the 1999 National Wind Ensemble for their performance at Carnegie Hall.
He currently serves as Assistant Director of Bands at Lakeside High School in Atlanta, GA. Prior to his arrival at Lakeside, Mr. Hunnicutt taught elementary band for ten years in the city of Dunwoody, just north of Atlanta. Mr. Hunnicutt currently resides in Kennesaw, Georgia with his wife, Heather, and their four children.
He plays a 1997 Leblanc 430 Bass Clarinet as well as a ~1959 Leblanc Model 63 Bass Clarinet (which is currently on loan.)
