The performance began with the Brass’ favorite intro “A Closer Walk with Thee” in a somewhat different fashion from their traditional entrance. The escalator from the hall’s lower exhibit level transported the group to the main concourse where they moved to the main stage.
“Brass instruments from C.G. Conn and Vincent Bach have been the long-time choice of top professionals around the world,” says John Stoner, President of Conn-Selmer. “Having the most well-known and respected brass quintet choosing our instruments says a lot about our craftsmanship. Giving our dealers the chance to hear these instruments performed by the Canadian Brass will further substantiate our position as the market’s choice for professional instruments.”
The dealer event included tours of the Eastlake brass facility; leadership, product, and financial training from members of the Conn-Selmer executive team; employee development training from the Disney Institute; a special education roundtable; and special evening receptions at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Severance Hall, the home of the Cleveland Orchestra.
